The type of events Canadians attend generally goes hand in hand with their discretionary household income. Food festivals are the most popular in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, the three wealthiest provinces.

Western events are even more popular in Quebec (11%) than in Alberta (10%)!
Quebec differs from the other provinces in its penchant for comedy and jazz, which drew respective attendance of 23% and 16% versus 12% and 8% in the rest of Canada.
